Wedding Day...
Let me start by saying YES - WE ARE OKAY! Thank you to everyone who contacted us to make sure we are still alive! The Earthquake hit Indonesia on the same day as our wedding, but in a different part of the country. It is sad to think that so many people lost their lives on a day that was so special and wonderful to us. We will be donating the money we received at the wedding to the help the people who have suffered this tragedy.
This is going to be a quick blog cos I'm still on dial up :) and I have more important things to be doing ;) but I thought I would post some (un-official) pictures.
Here's part of the procession that lead me to my beautiful wife :)

Me with Yanti's Mum and Dad... yes... I am TERRIFIED!!!

Yanti enters the room looking so beautiful, but also as TERRIFIED as ME :)

This is the start of the Holy Ceremony... note: Edward and Susi are sitting in as my parents :)

Yanti sang 'Rappers Delight' ("A Hip - Hop - a - Hip - da - Hibby Hibby - Hip Hip Hop...)

I busted 'Hell Yeah' by Beck...

...and that was it! (Muslims in Indonesia are very progressive :)

Here's the contract we got for a 6 album deal with EMI!

Yanti is fire proof!!

Alas... the slipper did not fit :( I am not Cinderella :(

Time for some food, we moved into the 'Pelaminan'...

And so begins our beautiful marriage :)

Those white costumes were getting old, so we kicked it new skool with a matching 'bling gold' look...

Then everyone came to party!

The day was TOTALLY EXHAUSTING!! And we had lots and lots of little traditional ceremonies. Even Yanti was totally confused and she can speak Bahasa Indonesia (naturally) so imagine I went through the entire day in a trance :) Was an amazing an wonderful experience though - and most important - I'M MARRIED!!!
After the wedding we escaped to the beach for a night and slept. Yup - we were that tired!
Miss you all - see you soon!

A Quick Pre-Marriage Blog...
I managed to break the internet in my apartment (by slicing the wire in half with a microwave oven - go figure) but tonight I'm staying at the
Hotel Borobudur in cental Jakarta and they have wi-fi.
My friends Edward, Susi, and daughter Belinda have an apartment here cos Edward is the Exec Chef. They are going to act as my 'surigate' parents since my Mum and Sister couldn't make it to the wedding. We're all being woken up at 6am by the make up artist so we can head to Yanti's parents house for the main event that starts at 9am!!
Yanti had her showering ceremony yesterday, which was wonderful. I didn't manage take any good pictures cos this ceremony is mainly for women and I didn't want to seem like too much of a happy snapper. We have a professional photographer and video guys filming everything so I would prefer to put those pictures and movies up when we get them. But here's a pic of Yanti's Father, Yanti (looking beautiful), Me, Yanti's Mum, and her Brother.

Yanti's Parents house has been transformed...

We are blocking the road for a few days :) That stage will have a Gamelan band on their tomorrow!! I love Gamelan.
Tomorrow is going to be a crazy day - I know. But I'm really looking forward to it. I have memorised my lines ('Saya terima nikhanya dan karwinya Yanti Suryati binti Haji Mohammah Sapei denang maska winya yang tresbut tunai') - so I hope I don't freeze on the day :)
I'll try and get the internet fixed in my apartment next week!
See you when I'm married...
Nic
I'M NOT DEAD!!!
...But I am on dial-up, which is as good as dead to some people I know :)
Things are busy here. Got lots of practical things to do before the wedding. Been to the UK Embassy to get a letter allowing me to get married in Jakarta, Got my hair cut (and some of the GREY (*SOB*) dyed out).
Had a 90 minute Thai Body/Shiatsu massage which half killed me. So yes, for all you jokers, I have had an Indonesian girl walk all over me - but it wasn't Yanti :P
Today I slept and slept and slept and slept some more.
Yanti and her Brother picked me up about 3 and we went to eat, play some pool and went to see The Divinci Code. I didn't understand any of the stuff in French or Latin cos the subs were in Indonesia... and I still found it very predictable.
That's all for now!

Off to JK to get married!!!
This is it! I'm in the lounge at Heathrow waiting to board my plane to Jakarta to be with Yanti.
Can't wait to see her again. It's been 3 and a half months since I saw her. Can't wait to be her Hubby.
I'll try and blog from JK if I get a chance, but to be honest - I'm really looking forward to getting away from the wired world fo a while and having some 'US' time.
I'm really tired, a little nervous, and a lot excited.
Was very weird today, thinking that it would be the last time I closed the door to Medulla Corp HQ Version 2.0 as a single man.
I'm sure I'll get used to it! :)

Damn it feels good to be a gangsta...
So before I continue - I'm not blaming ANYONE for this... we booked E3 really late and took the only hotel we could get, The Comfort Inn, 321 N Vermont Ave.
It should actually be called the Crack Den Inn. Check out these pics of my room.

The exterior paper frames the view perfectly...

It's good to know that in a fire I will be alarmed...

So many choices for electricution...

And the attension to detail in the paint job is beautiful...

I snorted this and got ripped to the tits.
Hands down wins the best award for worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
Spent today picking up some prezzies for Yanti, and registering for E3. Bumped into Jamie, Sefton, and Nathan from Rocksteady (ex-Argonaut) in the Deli on 3rd street Santa Monica. Was a completely random encounter (kinda like Final Fantasy) but was great to see them.
Now I've done Kid Robot and Giant Robot - I can focus on the show, which I'm sure is gonna be loud, hot, and full of goodies.
More then!

Nic in LA...
...I've landed in LA. The game I'm working on is skipping a public viewing at E3 but should have the wraps off very soon - but at last Square Enix have annouced it. However, until I get the all clear - I can't actually tell you which of these games it is...
- Release dates, galore! Valkyrie Profile on PSP July 18, Valkyrie Profile 2 in September, Final Fantasy III and Rocket Slime in September, and ... Final Fantasy XII in October.
- Mobile games, galore! Dirge of Cerberus: Lost Episode coming this year, based on PS2 version. Also a remake of original Final Fantasy Adventure ("looks like a straight port with much nicer graphics") and new Mana title.
- Dragon Quest Swords for the Nintendo Wii ... ! Announced as launch title.
- Crisis Core trailer looking nice, but all cinematics - "Big WORK IN PROGRESS thing at the end."
- Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates -- 4-player action on Nintendo DS
- Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers for Wii.
- Final Fantasy XIII on PlayStation 3 -- no surprise, but still mega-exciting. "Looks amazing. Female protagonist. Dramatic battles with amazing cinematic presentation." Also, Final Fantasy XIII on mobile: "It's a multiplayer RPG."
[snatched from
Joystiq]
I'll try and post from E3 when it starts. The Internet isn't too hot in the hotel (aka: crack den) so maybe no video until I get back. Although I think E3 has free wi-fi so who knows.
Very sleepy now...
