“George the Greek had lasted so long Danny had thought of him as permanent...”

So Argonaut is no more. I never thought I would see the day. I know some Argonaut people read this Blog. I’m really sorry for what has happened guys. I hope you find work soon. And email me so we can stay in touch.

In memory of happier days, I’ve dropped this video on the website.

Oh My...

It’s been over a month since I last blogged. Wonder why?? There are things I should be talking about here – like:

Argonaut. If you’re in videogames (or read the BBC news) you’ll know about the troubles at Argonaut. I was there for 10 years and in some ways I still feel a close attachment to the place. So I was sad to see things had got so bad over there.

For all the people who are now looking for work – I want to wish you the best of luck in finding something good to move onto. And for Argonaut, I hope it survives in some form. I’m hearing rumours about – well I better not say. But lets just hope we don’t lose yet another UK Dev studio.

What else? Hmmmmm... my car maybe??

Why is my car always screwed? It’s not old, it’s not done excessive miles, it’s a decent make and a decent model. So why is it always screwed!!! I’m planning my next car. Hopefully I can get something in the new year. I fancy Nissan Skyline GT-R, but will probably go for a Subaru or something.

What else – what else...

I have like a billion Japanese, Korean, and Chinese movies to watch. I really should get round to checking them out. I now have Casshern on DVD – so I need to watch that again. The ‘cam in the cinema’ version was a little too much hard work.

I watched Team America: World Police recently. It was – okay. I’m not the world’s biggest South Park fan, but I loved the South Park movie. Team America had its moments, but overall – it was just average I’m sorry to say. I have to check what kind of impact it had on the box office. I’m sure lots of people will be really confused as to what it is.

What else...

Picked up a couple of games, then took them back. Gradius 4, and Spy Fiction. Spy Fiction had the potential to be an amazing game. There are some really nice ideas in there – but the execution was really poor. It’s a very frustrating game to play, and I spend most of my time confused as to why things were happening. For example, I came across a locked door – needed a key. Wandered around a bit – not key. Wandered back to the locked door, it was now open for some reason?!?!?! Erm…

Gradius 4 was a fine slice of retro cool, but after 2 plays I was like – am I ever going to play this again? Probably not.

I also picked up Soul Calibur 2 for £7.99 – wow!

GTA:SA is out here today. I’ll go rent it and see what it’s like.

What else...

Oh yeah – more bizarre links to my site from search engines… check this out.

Hmmmmm...

I’ll kinda stop there cos I will force myself to blog a little more often than I have been. Might be some news in the next couple of days.
