Not quite a Google-wack BUT...
...pretty fucking funny I think you’ll agree.
I’m sure you’re all aware I track hits and links and all that crap to my website (like pretty much everyone with a web page). It’s always fun to see who’s sniffing around (I KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE! Errr - To the nearest 1000 miles or something).
For example, I know Wayne reads my blog about once a day (hi Wayne – did you get my last email? It might have gone screwy – not sure). I’ve watched as movie studios try and stream the ‘Orchid’ stuff. I even get emails when certain people who are destined to be the future queen of Hollywood come to visit (maybe I shouldn’t admit to that).
It’s all just for fun since the traffic I get wouldn’t worry a top secret pedo website. But I do love seeing how people get to my site from Google.
I’ve had the famous ‘very small penius’. I’ve even had people looking for breast pumps. But this is the funniest.
Try this as a Google seach:
argonaut edgware lame
Oh yes my friends. Check it out!!! Don’t even have to use quotes or anything.
I’d love to know who searched for that. Nearest I can track it down to is, ‘UK’. Mail me or leave a comment or something.
Anyways. This is my last blog with my current broadband provider, so Medulla Corp South is going radio silent for probably a couple of weeks. What I shall do without a decent Internet connection is anyone guess. I’ll probably decorate the house, find a cure for AIDS, bend space - or something.
See you on the other side.

'Palindrome'...
So what’s the first thing I spent my first ‘new gig’ paycheck on? The Michel Gondrey ‘directors’ DVD. I already had the Chris Cunningham DVD but was hanging out to get this one.
The guys amazing. The Cibo Mato video is still (for me) the greatest music video ever directed. Simple, yet complex at the same time. Do check it out.
The second thing I’ll probably buy is a Denon DN-S3000... you knew it would happen.
Nic,
'True Blue'...
You know a thespian friend of mine once said that if I ever got talking to Quentin Tarantino about films, the conversation would never end.
As I watch him as a judge on American Idol, I guess I have to agree.

Happy difficult to spend money day! (non-live blog)
There are three days a year in the UK when it is difficult to spend money. Christmas Day, New Years Day, and Easter Sunday. They seem to be the only three days when all the shops are shut. And it’s a good thing too.
I’m up at Medulla Corp North. Got a little restless today and needed to spend some money. I used to splash the cash - but since the harder times hit, I’ve curbed my spending. And I actually like it that way.
Had the shops here been open today I would have ended up spending alora money.
I’ve got my eye on one of them 60 Gig Creative Labs Nomad NX things. Now - I don’t need one. Yes it’d be nice, and yes it’d get some use - but I don’t need it.
I guess I’m just trying to work out how I’ll transport all my tunes to the new gig!!!
I’m also seriously feeling the need to purchase that funky Denon CD-DJ deck (and mixer) I’ve been after for what seems like an age. Now that I would get some serious use out of – but I can’t seem to pluck up the courage to put the money down.
Anyways – went to see Shaun Of The Dead today. Very funny and the cinema near Medulla Corp North was pretty packed. I told you it was hard to spend money today – but people found a way.

Wow – what with actually having a full-time job and everything, I’m finding it hard to find the time for a nice long blog these days!!
I’m enjoying it though. The new company is great and I hope to get my teeth into some hardcore scripting and level design after the Easter break. Would you believe this company actually TRAINS YOU UP in it’s tool chain! It’s nice to have the tools in place to actually do my job for a change. Decent editor, nice script system. Oh the stories I could tell about the last stuff I used!!
Still full of cold thanks to GDC. In the morning I sound like I’ve been down the pit for 30 years. It’s not very pleasant.
I’m still trying to decide whether to go to E3. I think the deadline for cheap tickets is tomorrow so I better make up my mind pretty sharpish. I’m probably going to be too busy and after the expense of GDC I should probably try and save some money.
Wayne (http://www.ploom2.com) should be back in the country this weekend. I think I’ll try and pop down to Edgware for some noodles on the Monday and catch up with how Japan has been treating him.

Mario movie...
A few people dropped by the blog looking for the Mario movies that Neil Young (from EA) used at GDC. Here are some links to the movies.

Death and Rebirth.
Some bad news. Pesto, my last remaining pet has died. Regular readers will recall last years spate of pet deaths. We’d noticed he hadn’t been too well the last week or so. I took him to the vets before I went to GDC and he said it was either a Kidney infection, arthritis, or cardiovascular. We’d put him on some anti-biotics and changed his food but I guess his days were numbered. He’ll be missed.
In other news – I started work again today. I won’t get into too much of what I am up to until there has been some publicity for the project. Needless to say – it’s a videogame and I’m doing some design work. Feels good to get back on the field after my self-imposed sabbatical.
Still got a cold, still jet lagged. Looking forward to the weekend when I think I’ll just sleep right through (waking up for the F1 natch).
