Bob Moog...

Synth pioneer, and all round 'wall-of-wires' good guy ,Bob Moog has been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor.

I've never been fortunate enough to own a Moog synth. The Mini-Moog is the absolute classic and is treasured to this day by 'Mini' owners. There are a bunch of modern Moog products out there. More info can be found at http://www.moogmusic.com/.

You can also get a couple of VSTi Moog emulations for your sequencer of choice:

And just announced some hardware controllers if you want a more authentic experience, but still can't afford the real thing:

There was also a documentary that came our recently. http://zu33.com/moog/

If you want to leave a message of support for Bob and his family, you can leave your thoughts HERE.

Nic.

I had the good fortune to come across an authentic and old Moog once when I was younger. I didn't buy it, (though it would probably be worth a fortuen today), because it was not polyphonic. (ie, you could only play one note at a time) and the Yamaha DX-7 was all the rage at the time too ... DX-7 also a nice classic.
Anyway, let's hope Bob can beat the tumor.
