Beyond Tricky and Fiddly...
I’m getting frustrated with ‘Beyond Good and Evil’. I played for about four hours before Christmas and just picked it up again today. Played for about six hours and spent most of that swearing. Sometimes it’s so unclear what you have to do, sometimes it’s just needlessly tricky. Also found a nice bug that froze the player movement.I like lots about this game but I’m not sure if I’m going to play it anymore. I’d prefer to remember the good things about it.
Been playing Need For Speed: Underground a lot as well. I rented the X-Box version and thrashed it for a couple of days. The slow down on that version bugged me so I picked up the PC version and since the PC is plugged into the widescreen TV and has a PS pad connected – it’s like playing a console version.
It’s weird, the things I hate about NFS: Underground are the same things I love about it. I hate that a perfect run can be ruined by some random piece of traffic hiding in a blind spot. But then at the same time, when you do a great race, skimming traffic, powersliding into some tight corners – it feels so great.
Something that isn’t frustrating, tricky, or fiddly is the ‘Ryo the Skywalker & Friends’ album – ‘How to Hunt in the Bush’. I love this album!!!
Nic.
