I’m thinking about installing Linux. GASP!

I picked up a Linux mag today because it had a copy of OpenBSD on it. I have a spare laptop kicking around and I should probably refresh my Unix knowledge. I wouldn’t even consider this if I weren’t writing this hacker script – but I think it’d be useful to get my head back into ‘that’ world.

I personally don’t have a problem with Microsoft, and I like XP. I understand all this ‘open source’ stuff and that’s great and all. I just don’t see Linux (or OSX) running my most used software – Word, Final Draft (Okay – these 2 are on the Mac), Acid, and Vegas.

I also think the argument for owning a Mac is now lost on me. I like their styling – but my Sony Vaio TR-1 is way more cute than any of the current Mac laps.

But hey – in the words of Digital Underground – “use what ya like.”

I’m off to do the Humpty Dance... while installing Linux. GASP!
