Can't sleep...
It's an on-going problem. So has anyone else noticed these weird orange dots that keep popping up on cinema prints. I'm guess they are some kind of identification water marks so that when a telesync or cam of a movie hits the net, some clever person back at MPAA HQ can find the dot frames and work out where the print was screened.
Not sure what they’d do after that. Don’t know about the US but I really don’t think the poor kids who work in the multiplexs in the UK could give a shit. I’ve always got a shoulder bag on me that could probably hold a camera and tripod if I so desired and I’ve never been questioned.
So anyway – these dots are driving me crazy. They pull me out of the film cos they are always on a really well lit scene and flash up in the middle of the frame. Is Tyler Durden working for the MPAA now or what?
Keep an eye out next time your at the flix. Now I’ve mentioned it – it’ll DRIVE YOU CRAZY…
Okay, okay – so it probably won’t.
Nic.
